Welcome to the homepage of V5 Cave!
Its passages wimple in Bihor Mountains, Romania, under the Padis Plateau littered with sinkholes. The depth reached for the time being in V5 is 653 m. Currently it is the deepest known cave in Romania. V5 - Varasoaia System is a complex karst system with several active and fossil as well as various horizontal and vertical passages. Due to the flood risk and passages risky of collapsing, visiting is allowed only for experienced cavers. Visiting the cave is restricted and might be licensed by the directorate of Apuseni Nature Park (Parcul Natural Apuseni).
